FOUR INFORMATION PANELS, AND SOUND INSTALLATION IN LISBON METRO STATIONS

Design of four panels for the columns of Martim Moniz, Intendente, Anjos and Alameda Metro Stations by Mantraste.

SOUND EXPLORATIONS AND RECORDINGS

Sample of twelve sound fragments with the participants favorite musical tastes (bands and singers), both from their countries of origin and international.

Sample of twelve sound memories from the following  participants’ countries of origin: Romania, Nepal, China, Bangladesh, Vietnam, India, Senegal, Nigeria and Guinea.

CREATION OF VISUAL SOUND NARRATIVES

Twenty eight interactive sound illustrations designed by Bruno Santos (Mantraste) based on the participants' sound research work within four research topics: (1) Language as environmental sound (2) Distant sound memories, (3) Musical tastes with local and global transversalities, and (4) Daily life soundscapes.

Creation of visual sound narratives documentary

Video “llustration design process by Mantraste” for the project “Interrumors” (2019). Illustration of “Twelve Memories” of the soundscapes of Lisbon. Music “Inter-Rumores Daily Life” by Fernando Ramalho. Sound design with the sonorous pallette of “Interrumors” sound database (2’17”).

SOUND INSTALLATION / LEARNING ABOUT MULTICULTURAL SOUNDSCAPES

Sound installation at NextStop Festival, promoted and organized by Largo Residências Association, from March to July 2019 with four musical compositions by Fernando Ramalho accompanied by panel presentations by Mantraste with a QR code to our website www.interrumores.pt. "Interrumors" also on display in Intendente em Festa Festival, in an exhibition in the Palace Visconde da Graça (Intendente square, Lisbon).
